Artist of the week (instead of month)

This week is a group named relient K they are sort of like a punk style band.  I really like them, they are on my ipod and it is a good change from the music I usually listen to.  I picked college kids cause I think that it is pretty funny and this video that I found on youtube was pretty funny too. this weeks bible study

Have you ever been hurt by something that someone said? Was it because it was not true?  Well that is one thing but what about being hurt by someone who is speaking the truth.  I always joke around with Mary Kay and say I am just being truthfull.  Well the bible study is going to be talking about sorrow.  Sometimes people say stuff to us that hurts us, but what if they are saying something about our faith?  So someone comes to you and speaks truth to you about your faith and you get mad and maybe even hurt, well we are going to call this Godly sorrow.  Paul talks about this same subject in 2 Corinthians 7:8-13.  Paul wrote a letter to the church in corinth and aparently he spoke some truth to them and in verse 8 he says “even if I cause you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it.” Paul knew something they didn’t and he writes that in verse 10.  First thing is that Godly sorrow leads or brings repentence.  These things may not be the first thing that happens just like Paul says in verse 8 “I see that my letter hurt you” this hurting period may last a day or may last a year but if the truth is spoken to you, you will hear it eventually and that will lead to repentence.  The second thing that Paul says in verse 10 is that “repentance leads to salvation and leaves no regret.”  If Godly sorrow comes into our life after the repentance then we are happy not because the sorrow is gone but because we have made a decision to change for God.  So in a quick review of this passage Godly sorrow leads to three things repentance, salvation, and no regret.  So the next time someone comes and attacks something in your faith take a good look and make sure that they are not speaking the truth, in the words of I don’t know who “check yourself”

This months artist is a band named Kutless.  They are more of a rock sound I think I would compare the sound to bands like: creed, stained, or other bands like that.  I hope that you enjoy.
