This weeks band

This weeks band is another group that is on my i-pod they are more towards rock/metal.  So I know that a couple of you like the more rock style, maybe this is a group that you can start listning to.  They are a christian band and if you can make out any of the words in the song they really have a good christian message so thats cool. On a side note a lot of their songs are used for the anime ( I am pretty sure that I just buchered that word but you know what I mean).

This weeks bible study

This weeks bible study is taken from 2 Timothy 2:18 and it is very simple.  The verse says “the Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom.  To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”   The thing that this verse is saying to me and I hope to you is you have to have a certian confidence in what you beleive.  first he says the lord will rescue me it is not ” well if I call on the Lord and I am good I am hoping the lord will rescue me from evil.”  No Paul says the Lord will, he has confidence that God will do what he has promised to do.  Next he says that he will be taken to heaven to be with him.  Do you have that confidence that you are going to heaven?  I know in my own life I need more confidence in what God has promised.  There should not be any doubt.  Well how do we get that confidence well you have to choose to beleive but it is not just that you have to study and test your beliefs.  I am going to leave you with a story from the bible.  Paul was preaching to a crowd of people in Borea (a town in the bible), and after paul preached do you know what these people did?  They didn’t just take his word for it they searched the scriptures to make sure that was the truth, and then they could have confidence in whether they beleived or not. 

Artist of the week

This new artists is named Jake Smith the recording is not that great but he is really good.  I would compare him to John Mayer, I like him I am going to go and try to download some of his music for my i-pod I hope you do the same.  I hope you enjoy.
